You ever hear of a BN conductor named Lloyd "Boomer" Schott? Boomer worked out of Cedar Rapids, IA as a Milw conductor until around 1970 or so. Then he transferred to Bozeman and later to Butte where he worked the Silver Bow switch job. When the Milw transcon shutdown, rather than follow a dying horse, Boomer hired on the BN out of Billings the last I heard around the time you were there. I went to college with his son Kevin who worked for the MILW off and on out of Missoula. Lost track of both of them a number of years ago.
