When I went to open your attachment I wondered what I would see. My thoughts went many different ways. Well, thank you for the view from Owenyo.
The last (and maybe one of the few times) I heard a railroad telegraph was up at Livingston, Montana, in the mid-1970s. I was up there helping staff a Pacific Railroad Society excursion train out of Los Angeles. We laid over at Livingston while our our passengers toured Yellowstone. That evening, before departing west to pick-up our passengers, most of the staff wondered through the train order office and in the back of the office there was a telegraph sounder working.
