Re: Everybody, Lets Back off on Uhrich

I saw that post, Steve.
I understand the frustration everyone is feeling over this, and I know that Uhrich and his shop will be under fire from some directions.
I hope, as you do, that whatever fault for what has happened is placed responsibly in the ensuing debate.
There have been many posts here on the NGDF by people who know what they are talking about that have raised serious questions and concerns over the effects and wear of running a short rail operation on only a 4% grade.
All we can do is wait and see what develops from here, and that lessons of the past year or so can be put to good use going forward by those capable of understanding them.
I'm not taking shots at anyone in particular, and I'm especialy not taking a shot at M Peterson who started this thread. He just asked a simple question. I just hope that those who wish to pile on Uhrich take a few minutes to consider what they write.
