Hmmmmm.....the railroad which owns the 1744 is the San Luis and Rio Grande. I have no problem with the SLRG putting their logo on the engine, after all, they own it. It is appropriate that they plan to use SP-style letering for their name on the water tank part of the tender, and equally appropriate that they use their own SLRG logo on the oil bunker, which does make reference in style and name to the D&RGW.
I think SLRG has acknowledged the original ownership history of both the 1744 and their railroad. Bully for them!
