Depends on if you are from Peoria (home of CAT) or Moline (90 miles away home of Deere).
Seeing those CATs sure made me homesick. (Even though they are really made in Lafayette.)
So the answer is - yes. Moving a CAT with a Deere is sacrelege and against the natural order of things.
But, then again, the continued existance of the C&TS, its steam locomotives and the dedication of the C&TS employees is against the natural order of things in todays culture.
A little bit of sacrelege is OK, if applied properly, with the right leverage and lubricant.
The amount of work coming out of Antonito is as amazing as the amount coming out of Cumbres. Congratulations to all the people at the C&TS.
