Re: SVRY 250-251

The photo was taken by me (I don't mind at all) & shows Road Foreman of Engines Jose Pineda standing next to the boiler of 250 @ Escuintla in late January of 1977.
I beleive that your info of 1972 is correct. I had some negs loaned to me years ago showing the boilers being taken off of the frames of both engines in early 1972. Prior to that, they both had been sitting in the same spot, minus tenders, on a siding parallel to the main in the Escuintla yard. I did see one of the tenders used as a water car as late as 1974, but on the Atlantic Division. I remember the location as Agua Caliente, which is not that far from Guatemala City.
