A lot of great help, thanks all. This is such a useful forum.
I'm not too familiar with the smaller scales, but have there ever been a D&RGW station specific decal set released for On3, HOn3 or even Sn3? G scale is pretty slim for decals, mainly due to the various scales run on the same size track. But when you need black lettering it's easy enough to make your own...if you have the right font
