The general public doesn't care who did all the real work on the loop, and the CHS knows this.
On one of my visits to the Loop last summer (2006), I picked up a free "newspaper" from one of the brochure racks just outside of one of the giftshops. This publication was published by CHS and not really a newspaper -- rather, it was a folded 11"x17" publication printed on newsprint, so it looked like a newspaper.
This "newspaper" contained long article(s) about the loop and how it was rebuilt. My recollection is that the Ashbys' contributions were, indeed, described in at least one article.
I've saved my copy of the publication; if somebody reminds me, I'll doublecheck and post what it actually says about the Ashbys and the GLRR, Inc.
