The general public doesn't care who did all the real work on the loop, and the CHS knows this. To the CHS the Ashbys were simply a concessionaire. It's a little bit like expecting the general public to care who provides beer and hot dogs at a major league baseball park. The ownership can change the vendor and no one will care, as long as the beer keeps flowing, the price doesn't go up more than a quarter, and there's still plenty of Guildens mustard packets to go around.
But y'all need to create some way to preserve the true history of the loop -- because it does matter to SOME PEOPLE. And never let those elitist jerks at the CHS forget it.
Wouldn't you like to see Mr. Behrens cutting up creosoted ties for just one day?
