I bet Joe Daily loves that pic of him.....
Actually not all D&RGW whistles are the mentioned material. I've seen cast iron bases too. The chime portion of what was last known as "488's whistle" is cast bronze without any numbers or letters (like "D&RGW) on it. It is pick-punched "169".
