The whistle Tom is refering to was on 489 on the C&TS. It is currently in secure storage. In D&RGW days there was a identical sounding Powell 3-chime that was on 489 in the mid-1950's then to 490 in the late fifties then was on 487 in the 1960's. The whistles played the same chord, but 120's (on C&TS 489) used a seperate valve under the whistle. The one the D&RGW had a built in valve.
