Yes, and did you notice that I intentionally included JAC in my phrase "
currently-living persons who are, or have been, in Chama "??
The fact is that, over the past nearly 40 years, hundreds of individuals have been associated with the railroad. I could begin to list them ... Richard Boulware, David Cargo, Bob Keller, John Coker, John Bush, Jack Campbell, Dan Ranger, George Bartholomew, John Craft, John West, Kim Smith, Jay Wimer ... but I would miss most of them and still be wasting lots of electrons.
My point was that every one of these persons did good things and bad things. Each of us, because of differences in experience and values, will rate them differently. And it is best for NGDF that we keep our evaluations, be they scorn or praise, to ourselves. Someday there will be an appropriate time to deliver a eulogy for each of these persons. In the meantime, each (as is being demonstrated so vividly by Mr. Cargo and Mr. Boulware) has an opportunity to add to the record and move the evaluations in one direction or another. And we should be enjoying the fruit of all this effort and doing what we can to make our own positive contributions to the railroad ... not wasting our time feuding and setting up conflict.
