The Farmington Daily times, my former employer, was a constant critic of the railroad, including the gauge issue. Another problem was the ``Red Apple Flyer'' originally was a day train so passengers had to spend the night in Durango if traveling to points beyond.
The railorad, however, had its ways. One time a car of newsprint was unloaded and left on the dock ~ in the rain.
