I have a couple of the sunset K-28s and have had no problem with them. They run fine and there is enough room in the boiler to slip a DCC decoder into them. My Sunset K-36 is a different story. I still have not gotten it to run the way I would like. It tends to short at times and then other times it has problems picking up power on the tender. It has very little clearance on the pilot so you need real smooth trackwork. It seems to run a lot better if I put one of the K-28 tenders on it.
