Hi You are definte right I got 3 Key C 19 (form a hobby shop which went out of buisness) and built up from them one which is operable, The wheels of the first one had been insulated with paint !!!!! THe driver sets of all engines showed extreme wobble. The axle bearing of the last driver axle is too wide the gearbox is junk etc...... Ok started the work with new wheelsets form Key got 5 stes to choose the best from, installed a new gearhead motor and flywheel, regeared and reworked the gearbox and soldered it to the frame. Built an new xle bearing and soldered in the last bearing of the frame. It costes me a lot of Money and about 4 weeks of work but now I have a nice looking excellent running C 19 (at a cost of about 1600 $, that isexact the scrap worth of a real one). The other two engiens sit on my scrap row waiting for better times and spare parts.
Absolutely Key has won the first place in the "Brass Hall of Shame" followed directly by Lambert and PSC.(PSC not for the detail, but the quality of work)
