Re: Death Valley/US Potash 2-8-0's

There were two 2-8-0's (inside frame) on the Death Valley. After the road closed down the equipment when to US Potash near Carlsbad, New Mexico. Engine #1 is on display in Carlsbad and #2 went to the display at Furnace Creek Ranch in Death Valley. Took some measurements of the #2 a number of years ago; the drivers are evenly spaced.
Information from Myrick's book on Nevada:
42" drivers
18x20 cylinders
120,000 weight
#1 blt 1914 and #2 blt 1916
Conrad's book gives this additional for both engines.

TE 20,980
EW 120,000
WOD 110,000
US Potash had another 2-8-0, an outside frame, deckless engine that once ran on the Morenci Southern in Arizona. It is now at the R&LHS display at the LA County Pomona Fairgrounds. Conrad had the following information for it:
