That would be very odd.
Without exception, every one I saw in the 60's was silver.
Nolan Frogs were often also carried by diesel engines in those days, and they were painted D&RGW yellow, not silver. Maybe they had a pair of borrowed frogs that trip.
That's why we never say never, right?
