Kevin has pointed out several great points I agree with.
The largest issue, William, and I don't mean any disrespect to you in saying this, is that anything the D&S does IS historically accurate. They have been running the line for 27 years now.
Consider that in 50 years, your grandchildren might have a chance to see the good old 480 back in Bumblebee colors just like it was when tottering old Grandpa Reed saw way back in ought six.
History is just like evolution. Just because we see everything behind us as history today shouldn't overshadow the fact that by tomorrow, today is already history.
To say that something is "historically innacurate" for the D&RGW doesn't mean that it is or should be historically innacurate for the D&S.
Railfest is not and never was a D&RGW event. It is a D&S event, and has always been so.
Maybe in my grizzling decline to the wheelchair I see things like this differently that I used to, but I don't think you can argue the point, and if you try, I'll knock you over the head with my cane. If I can find it in here.....
