Mr. Day: I was not giving an opinion of 'you' the person, but of your words and your arrogance that put them in sequence, and on paper.
I am not attacking people, but your ideas, that I still believe are arrogant, rigid, and holier-than-thou.
No matter how you try to defend your post...it just doesn't fly...for many, if not most of us.
You attempt to put yourself, by your own words,... as a person above and beyond the 'common rabble' who post on this board. The words 'common rabble' are mine and not yours. The impression you left however, is quite apt. You see yourself as the Lord and Protector of the Holy Grail of Historical Accuracy. "BS"!
Thank you for exposing your true self, as an arrogant elitist...a cut above,.. if you will.
Although my contribution to historical discovery and historical railroads in the Rockies is long and distinguished, I prefer to remain loyal to to and a part of, just the average history and NG railroad buff. I like the spirit of just the common 'Joe Six-pak' railroad fan, who's interest is just genuine, and does not get all 'puffed-up' with his own glorious self.
I'll continue to just be one of the 'guys' and remain damned proud of it.
You will forever be known for your own posted arrogant words, and you will have to live with that.
I find greater reward with the many who just love NG trains, and have a keen sense of history, and love to hear the sound of C&S #9 DEFIANTLY screaming her whistle as she starts climbing the grade above the 'Big Fill", heading for Silver Plume.
