492 is missing a fair number of running gear parts, but they are on other locomotives on the property. Her pilot truck and pilot are missing along with one injector, but again, all these parts are still around, just on other engines like 497. The same goes for 483, 494, and 495.
I think that at some point, the C&TS is going to need to forge some new rods as their parts supplies dwindle, and it would be good if some extras were made to back up for contingencies like bent or broken rods.
495 I believe has been a major parts donor, right down to her drivers, which now roll under 487.
