I would like to believe and will continue to believe that they will see better days--who would have thought the old #9 would see service again after being set out on Morningstar siding for all those years--and now it's back in daily service. I think somewhere along the line someone may set aside some money--kind of like what's happening with the RGS 20. I think that if they were ever to be operational they would find a better home on the C&TS. Who know's if the C&TS has plans to restore 37's in the future as we know their planning is calling for--why not look at the 498 and 493 they may be ideal for restoration over say the 494 or 495. I would believe that surely the D&S would let them go if they were going to be restored. I would just like to be optimistic--who would have thought that 9, 315, and 20 would all be operational by 2008? Next we'll have to get the old 268 operational and build a 3 mile loop track in Gunnison to run her on--they got the space to pull it off--who know's.
