Speaking of red trim I was watching some 16mm footage I have from someone that shot ex Canadian Pacific 4-6-2 number 1293 at Steamtown in the early 70's. It also had red trim on all the cab windows, which stuck out like a sore-thumb I thought. As I recall the CPR had white trim,at least on most of the engines I have seen in films.
Perhaps the red is correct on some railroads, but I know a lot of them were Green inside the cabs, and also some of the windows on the sides, and other trim.
