I also wondered about the wooden headlight platform the first time I saw a picture of it, but not knowing much about C&S engines I wasn't about to bring it up.
I like the fact they got the lettering right, and the engine as a whole looks pretty darn good to me, but again I am no expert on C&S narrow or standard gauge!!
