Interesting post. I can see you are paying a lot of attention to what your doing, and it sounds like your having fun. I would make one suggestion. With an oil burner I recommend that the blower always be open at least a little. That way if the throttle is suddenly shut you dont get a cab full of fire. I've seen it happen.
