I thought it was interesting a few years ago I would walk down down to morning-star spur and inspect the 9 and found that the third layer of paint down on the boiler jacket along with the upper and lower sections of sand and steam domes were painted what appeared to be a olive green. I wonder if any of the original jacket was saved to cofirm this? Wouldn't that make a slick looking locomotive?
