Ken: You are absolutely correct. We took the original VHS tape over to a TV studio, and blew it up about 50%. The consensus is that it is a polished piece of metal, not aluminum leaf, and we also believe that on enlargement, we can see an image of what we believe to be Helen McGraw Tatem,(and camera) in the partial mirror image in the metal that makes the number "9". The TV studio operations manager, and all of us think she was using a longer lens for the close up, which accounds for the camera shake and movement. The reflections change with the camera movement, and it is our consider opinion that the numbe "9" is one single piece of solid metal.
(Nail holes are also visible, although they would not be on the present #9 as it has a completely new, but super accurate wood cab.
