Yep, we lifted the light end of the boiler with the excavator, while the firebox end was slid on a dolly that rode on a chunk of rail.
To raise the entire boiler high enough to slide it over the drivers, we used several bottle jacks, and LOTS of cribbing to get it to where we could move the boiler horizontally.
It only took a couple hours to complete the entire move.
