John, I think you are right, the sidings are 65 pound rail at Big Horn and Sublette. Somehow one of those cool D&RG cast rail braces fell into my posession (no, I didn't steal it). The D&SNG still had some 59 pound rail in the Animas valley till the 1980s. It was all sold to a big silver mine in Mexico.They cut it into short sections so it could get it down the hoists. It is also true that it is very difficult to locate switch parts for light rail and even the light rail itself.
