Yes, the vast majority of the tank cars were scrapped or sold then. The narrow frame cars went first, I think the exact year was 1963...16 went to WP&Y, and the rest went to the last boneyard...the frameless cars were cut up in 65...though several managed to survive to the present in other forms. Aside from a few sales, including two to the D&RGW for the rotaries, either the WP&Y or Floyd Reed ended up as the final owners. Why the narrow frame cars were retired as a group two years before the frameless cars has always been a mystery to me.
