Herb- That is a classic. Thanks for reminding us of the great stories in Mrs. Crum's book.
One story most have not heard was told by Bob Richardson when he loaned her the entire RGS timetable collection including every number of the timetable. But many of the older timetables were never printed and were just pencil notes on craft paper. When the file was returned to Bob, the pencil timetables were missing and Bob asked her about them. She replied that they were not timetables and she threw them away. Her husband jumped right in and said “Josie, if it has the Superintendent signature on it, IT is a Timetable!”. Bob said the file was incomplete thereafter.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
