Limited activity at Cumbres this date account extra 496 west had a derailment at Cresco.
One half mile east of east switch Cresco RG 3689 derailed. As train passed over the east switch this car caused damage to the frog and caused UTLX 13120, empty tank, to derail crosswise of the track. This required some time to clear up. Train 115 took rear end of train to Coxo. The derailed cars were cleared from the switch but left on the main track between switches. Siding was used as main line. Cumbres turn the next day had tool cars and rerailed and repaired cars on the return to Chama.
