Jerry- we drove up to the gate, parked, and walked around the gate the rest of the way. We had driven up to the Hot Springs resort and they had told us we could pay $20 for parking or just drive up the other road to the mines so that's what we did. We were under the impression it was BLM land. While there we saw a horseback tour group come over from the Hot Springs area and poke around the lower mine area.
