you are correct. they are not being honest with any of you, but this surprises nobody I am sure. From one of my sources, their passenger numbers are not accurate becasue they count them at both ends of the line....ie if you get on at Devils gate they count you, then they count you as riding again when you leave Silver Plume. if you want a better idea of their ridership devide anythign they give you by 2.
Additionally, I read an interesting post on the Train Orders board about opening day. Apparently the conductors and staff are informing passengers that their train is sold out at 170 passengers, but that the old opperator sold out their trains at "only" 200 so they are almost the same capasity. Why am I not surprised that they are lieing to their passengers to make them look better.
Sorry to burst your bubble CHS/railfarce but GRL,inc carried 340 max capasity on the first section and 120 on the second section; 2180 people a day at max capasity, our busiest single day being 1896 passengers on 9 trains. and for any CHS moles looking this over that is 1896 round trip, that figure isn't made with CHS you'll know what we want you to know special magic math.
For what it's worth, I did my best to not only keep my job and my employers position of 30 years, but I also fought to save the livelyhoods of the merchants in town, some of which I have come to know having lived in Gerogetown. I am sorry to see that you have been caught up in CHS's folly. I wish you better times ahead. but I also offer you some advice, never trust anythign they say.
