Slow day at work, so I'm going to post yet again. <img class=" />
The "Back to the Future 3" set, which was mostly walls proped up with sticks did indeed burn to the ground some years ago now.
"The Sierra is worth a trip if you are out that way, even though its not normal fair for you narrow gaugers!"
Absolutly, plus when standing on the Jamestown platform one could image the 3rd rail for the 30" gauge Yosemite Short Line RR that shared the station and a couple of miles of mainline before going off up into the hills on it's own. The only remaining piece of YSL equipment, a Hammond built 18' flat converted to a boxcar / storage shed, sits near the round house.
The Sierra is just a stones throw from the ol' West Side Lumber & Flume and its Heistler #2.
There is some narrow gauge in the area. <img class=" />
