Re: The SHAMROCK Hotel, etc.

I'm staying at "The Hotel" on a Monday night, taking the train to Antonito the next day and staying at the Narrow Gauge RR Inn in Antonito on Tuesday and taking the train back to Chama on Wednesday and then staying two more nights at "The Hotel". Since I'm doing this trip by myself (as of now) my main aim is to stay as close to the RR as possible and spend all my "extra" time taking pictures and chasing trains when not on them.
Roger was even kind enough to offer to save the room for me the one night I was gone. He didn't need to do that as he does need to make a living and I'll simply be living out of a suitcase that I can easily leave in a car while I'm gone.
One thing folks did talk me into was taking the "Parlor" car in at least one direction. I'm glad now that I decided to do it but, careful financial planner that I am, I didn't realize that I could save $5 by taking the parlor from Chama rather than the other way around but 'what the heck' I'm looking forward to it in September.
