An old Carl Mulvihill roster lists YP&YR 240 and 242 as coming from "Arizona" and formerly numbered 3 and 7 respectively. These numbers were noted on the truck castings that had been under the cars.
WP&YR accounting records lists the cars as coming through United Commercial in 1926. In December of 1925, the White Pass wrote to another possible car supplier that "We have already purchased two coaches, paying around $700 each for them, ...." So probably the White Pass arranged for the purchase in late 1925, but did not receive them until 1926.
The White Pass accounting records listed #240 as a coach and #242 as a parlor-coach.
The following photo of Coronado #7 was once made available by Frank Ellington who had photographed many ACF builder's photos. His list identified the car as being built by ACF's Jeffersonville works in 1903. If you look closely at the photo you will see the rear of whicker "parlor" seats through the windows on the right half of the car and ends of regular walk-over coach seats on the other end.
