I would disagree with you Mike. While it is true that Combine 211 has a modified steel roof, coaches 266 and 267 do not. They still have the rounded, wooden roofs. The only "major" changes are the side windows and the interiors. Before anyone says, I know the platform railings and steps and roof ventd and ...... have been changed but I don't consider them "major" Changes.
It would be nice to have these cars back on the SVRy and we know all it would take is money or build replacement coaches or trade them the #19 or #20 (WP&Y 81 & 80). As you can guess, we are not thinking about a trade.
Are you sure it was an ex-SVRy car that was damaged? The pictures I saw showed those newer, steel cars with the rounded roofs.
