"Would be spectacular to see some of the ex-SV cars on the White Pass come home. Is there any chance of that?"
Firstly they have been extensively modified by the WP&YR, especially the roofs, so it's debatable as to how much they are still SVRy cars.
Secondly, it seems from the photos of last October mishap that one of the SVRy cars was damaged, so it might be possible that the WP&Y would trade it out if a new replacement was more cost effective.
