I have had a closer look at # 60 last October. The boiler is definetly scrap after 60+ years of Rocky Mountain weather. Cab is quite fragile too. Some portions of the boiler near the firebox and smokebox are completly rusted tru.
There had been some vandalism on parts. Could say nothing about frame condition too much paint and dust on itand Staybolts aws weel as firbox condition but they should not be better after 60+ years. Tires look bad too, somw heavy marks. Tender reservoire needs domplete rebuilt.
If I had to calculate work app. 300 - 350 grand to get her into running condition will be minimum
depending which original parts (frame, pumps, wheels) could be used.
I would knew a good adress in Germany (Meiningen)to rebuilt her if the US loco works have full books <img class=" />)) They did some great work on European N G Engines as weel on a 2 ft SAR Garrett
