The season is scheduled to open May 28th with the RLR #12 providing the power.
Ridership is yet to be determined. Word from Railstar is that tour buses have been booked, but no indication of how many private individuals have made reservations.
Said reservation system is supposed to be up and running in mid-May, probably more than a tad late for those who've already made their vacation plans.
I haven't yet heard if the #12 has been steamed up in Plume. Looking at 'Railstar's' Loop webpage (which looks suspiciously like that of the Colorado Historical Society), it states the locomotive is undergoing 'final restoration'.
Huh???
BTW - the photo caption states the locomotive arrived on March 24th. A moot point, but it didn't actually get to Plume until March 25th.
How important is 24 hours? Not as important as a six-car vs. a nine-car train.
