As I understand the Jupiter last ran in Elsalvador in the late 1950's or early 1960's
It is on it's second boiler and on replacement driver centers. I am not sure how much of the Jupiter is still original but I heard that the frame,Cylinders and much of the running gear and valve gear is.
I do not know exactly what kind of mechanical conditionit is in but I do know that as it is represented today there is no cross head feed water pump, Injectors, or air compressor.
The Jupiter was built with an air compressor and a cross head feed water pump. She was also built with a blind rear driver! This on a 4-4-0.
It would be very cool to see it double headed with the Eureka. a good thought perhaps. Who knows maybe some day this could happen.
