Re: Alder Gulch--An 'On Track' Article

I know that my parents and I went on a trip to ? in the mid to late 60's and we vsited Virginia and Nevada City, Montana on the way. I have been searching my mind about a train there on that trip with no recollection. I was probably about 8 years old. Mom took hundreds of slides, so maybe sometime I can search that time period for something. In the late 60's we took a lot of long driving trips which included Knott's, Westside and Cherry Valley, D&RG-Silverton and a number of rr museums that I only vaguely remember and can't actually place. I consider myself very lucky to have got to visit some neat stuff when I was a kid. There was some sort of rr museum on the way to the Promintory/Golden Spike museum, that had several std. ga. engines. I think it was a town very near by. Any ideas what it was and if it still exists?
