I have some photos of the gasoline powered train that ran from 1973 to 1989. It was made from former Northern Pacific section gang cars that my father bought from the NP in Livingston, Montana. Conversion to 30" gauge was accomplshed by my uncle with a cutting torch. I spent many, many a day as a child in the 1970's riding back and forth from Virginia City to Nevada City. Anyway, if you are interested in the photos and/or more information, let me know.
