Sorry guys, don't remember max radius curve for the C engines.
Some of the tightest curves on Marshall were around 24deg. Any of the K could get around these. And I believe there is one curve at GTL that is 30deg. But since the C&S favored the 2 middle drivers blind (2-8-0s) but with false flanges, and they were able to go around that particular curve at a reduced speed.
However, with the blind drivers & slow speed, some lubrication, no reason that 30Deg couldn't be negotiated. Those "shop" moves are much different than regular service. Oh ya, if tight curve is necessary, you may want to open the gauge up somewhat to ease the movement.
But beware, when Knotts Berry Farm was first constructed the story goes that the original layout was engineered by an hired ATSF track engineering crew. The curves were so tight the first C-19 trying to "get around it" derailed. Needless to say, everythinging had to be re-engineered and re-constructed. So much for sharp pencils.
