I am not sure if it was Scenic RR or a private promoter, but the winter steam rotary railfan events were really fun. I just finished loading some images taken in Jan. 1978 of the 487 pushing the OY Rotary north out of the Chama Yards with Jordan Spreader OU in tow. As I recall, the air dump on the spreader wing made an awesome sound.
My images are really not that great, and I lack the computer skills to park them at an accessible URL, but if anybody wants me to forward them by email, just ask.
