Kelly ,you nailed it . Towns like Chama and Orbisoonia have little or no infrastructure . It's a huge problem for many tourist attractions . Infrastructure is hotels , restaurants , movie houses , lakes , medical clinics , drug stores , etc , While both Chama and Orbisonia have some of those things , bringing a family to these places is a problem . However , Strasburg is in the heart of Amish country ,and when the sun goews down , they light the kerosene lamps and fix their buckboards ! Strasburg is close enough to Lancaster and Herrisburg to offer complete accomodations . Creating a "complete package" is too expensive to do singlehandedly . The railroad itself will have to be the main attraction .
