The C&TS is not doing so hot, either, is it ? The EBT is only 30-45 minutes from the Pennsylvania Turnpike. It actually has a a great advantage. Down the road ,could it be capitalized upon? Well, yes. The success of the D&SNG is because of the "whole package" , i.e. Mesa Verde National Park , a town geared towards tourism , being a crossroad for two major regional highways and a host of things for the tourist to do. Without all that the D&SNG would be struggling to survive. That is, of course, not easy to create for Orbisonia(about the size of Chama), but not impossible. If the railroad operation was expanded to ,say , Mount Union, and if it was promoted properly, it could become a very popular attraction .
