In 1981 it was not quite that way. The train was put back together after the bridge. I assumed it was cut(the engines before the High Bridge for weight restrictions.
JAC, I saw the mention about August with the K36 and thats what prompted my questions. Here is what I was wondering.
(a) When was the bridge rebuilt to accomodate the heavier engines.
(b) When this construction was finished did this allow two engines on the bridge at the same time, or just upgrade it enough to allow the K36 and K37 to cross.
(c)What is the practice today with doubleheaders...do any of them cross singly, or do they stay together?
Hope that clarifies my questions.
