I would be interested in exploring the Mich-Cal if you don't mind another person tagging along whenever you do it. I rode and photographed the CC&N several times, but never got more than part way to the South Cable. My wife and I go to Apple Hill nearly every October, usually camping at Sly Park; brings back memories such as the CC&N train stopping in the orchard near the station in Camino and the conductor picking ripe plums for the passengers to enjoy. Hard to think even that's been gone for over thirty years!
