Howdy All. Just found this site but like the interest in the Mi-Cal operation.
Hey Andy, let me know when you guys get together. I'd love to tag along.
I've explored much of the area and can point out cuts and trestles. Also, just got a lead on the camp at Pilot Creek, if anyone interested. Would love to try and get to "North Cable" or Cable Point, whatever you'd like to call it. The gate to Old Pino has been crashed through and I've hiked much of the row towards Old Pino. Looks like it'd be no problem to drive it. Been there only once as a kid. Drove to South Cable from Camino. No problem. Only one rough spot where a trestle used to be. Gotta watch out for rattlers though. Had a really nice encounter last trip.
Not much to see a Pino Grande itself last I was there early this year. Would like to explore more there too. Heck, I could spend a week or two up in the woods looking at/for stuff.
